I will be bringing all kinds of new goodies, so please stop by for some socializing, $5 Island Cosmopolitans, and as always, the fabulous view of the Atlantic! For anyone who doesn't know, Louie's Backyard is located at 700 Waddell Avenue, and is a fabulous place for cocktails and conversation in a beautiful Key West setting. C O L O R T I L E Pendants NOW on Etsy! Plus PRIDEFEST street fair this weekend!

Hell all! I have just updated  the Etsy site with about a dozen of my new C O L O R T I L E pendants, which I have been making for few months now but took me forever to have enough to get up on the website, because they sell so quickly! So please check them out. There will be more soon, but right now I am busy making lots of Key West-themed Pride jewelry for Pridefest 2009, which is going on right now in Key West. I will have a booth at the street fair on Friday and Saturday, so if you're in Key West please stop by and bring me a drink! Cause its gonna be HOT!!

Swim Around Key West 2009-Successfully Completed!

The Swim Around Key West

Well, folks, this is the last day before I brave the waters and try my luck at the 33rd Annual Swim Around Key West! This is an open-water swim that goes the 12.5 miles around the island of Key West, and somehow I got talked into being on a team. Now, I am not completely suicidal, I will not be doing the full 12.5, I am participating as the final leg of a relay (TEAM WAHOO!), but I am definitely still a little put off by my 4.2 mile portion. They are calling for thunderstorms, so say a prayer they will hold off! So wish me luck, and hopefully I will be posting tales of victory (or at least completion!) tomorrow!!

New Rings!

May's Full Moon HOWL and MOTHER'S DAY!!

 
This Saturday is the Full Moon HOWL gallery and café stroll
on upper Duval! Shops, bars, restaurants and
entertainment venues will be open 6 to 9 p.m. with
food and drink specials, music, hospitality, arts and entertainment,
and perhaps some special deals!
 
The upper Duval neighborhood of small unique shops, cozy bars and
lavish restaurants opens their doors for the full moon! Grab a drink and a mother's day gift!

This month, in lieu of a locals discount, The Gilded Peach will
be donating 15% of our sales during the HOWL
to the Florida Keys Council of the Arts.
 I hope to sell enough to become a corporate sponsor! And
as always there will be bubbles and yummy treats!


Also this month, The SoDu Gallery at 1100 Duval
celebrates two major events:
 the popular Second Annual Woman’s Hand Juried show
of women’s art, AND the gallery’s
 move two doors down the street to 1102 Duval, right next to
The Gilded Peach! 
Join the SoDu artists in their new space for the champagne
 and chocolate reception for some of the most creative
women artists in the keys.

New Stuff on Etsy!

I have been updating the Etsy site after a looooong hiatus, so check it out soon! I got thirteen pieces up yesterday, and I am diligently working on the photos to get more up today. Also, soon the peachyKEEN line will be up on Etsy, as well, hopefully by the end of the week, so keep checking back! Happy day-after-taxes day!

Changes and Improvements!

I am pleased to announce that the new line, peachKEEN, almost has its own website and etsy store! I have a placeholder site here, and work on it is in full swing. I am doing a photo shoot tomorrow, so hopefully it won't be long. And after that, I will begin overhauling the original site to make it more updated and fabulous, and add all kinds of stuff to the Gilded Peach etsy store. So keep an eye out over the next few weeks!
